Kierstin Petersen DNP,  is the proud owner of Hometown Health and Wellness. With over 25 years in the health industry, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her patients specializing in preventative medicine and overall health and wellness. Her dedication to empowering individuals to take charge of their health is at the heart of her practice and she is committed to helping everyone achieve their wellness goals.

Kierstin’s journey in healthcare began as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1998, where she worked in long-term care for two years while attending nursing school. In 2002, she graduated with her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from Snow College. She then began working as a Registered Nurse at the Delta Hospital while she continued her educational path and proudly completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Weber State University. Determined to achieve her ultimate academic goal, she entered the Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) program through the University of Utah and graduated in 2016 as a Family Nurse practitioner. Kierstin then worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in both family practice and women’s health clinics prior to opening Hometown Health and Wellness in 2020. Her relentless pursuit of knowledge and unwavering commitment to patient care have driven her to where she is today.

While holding a deep passion for healthcare, she is also passionate about her other true love which is her family. With four children and now a grandchild to bring joy and adventure in her life, she values time and memories with them. Whether it is attending a livestock show, exploring the great outdoors, or enjoying quality time at home these experiences enrich her life and make life worth living. She also deeply values her devoted husband, Jeremy, co-owner of Hometown Health and Wellness, who has been a pivotal support in Kierstin’s journey. His partnership and shared entrepreneurial spirit have been instrumental in helping her achieve her goals and in their mutual mission to provide optimal care to their patients.
